Last updated: July 21, 2026

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Short Surahs mobile application (“the App”). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. About the App

Short Surahs is an iOS application that provides offline access to selected short surahs of the Quran, Al-Fatihah, and Ayat al-Kursi, including Arabic text, transliteration, translations, related notes where available, and local audio recitation for supported items.

2. License to Use

Subject to these Terms and the App Store terms that apply to your download, you are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App on Apple devices you own or control for personal, non-commercial purposes.

3. Religious and Educational Content

The App is intended for personal reading, listening, learning, and spiritual use. Translations, transliterations, and notes are provided for convenience and educational purposes. They may not capture every scholarly nuance. For formal religious rulings or detailed study, consult qualified scholars and authoritative sources.

4. Intellectual Property

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

6. Audio Playback

The App may play bundled audio and support background playback and system media controls. Availability of Bluetooth, car systems, and lock-screen controls depends on your device and system settings. The developer is not responsible for third-party hardware or vehicle systems.

7. No Guarantees

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, uninterrupted availability, and error-free operation.

The developer does not guarantee that translations, notes, or audio timing are complete, free from typographical error, or suitable for every educational or religious purpose.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the App.

Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid for the App (if any) in the three months before the claim or the minimum amount required by applicable law.

9. Privacy

Your use of the App is also described in the App’s Privacy Policy. Please review that policy to understand how information is handled.

10. App Store and Apple

These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content. Your use of the App must also comply with Apple’s App Store terms and policies. In the event of a conflict between these Terms and Apple’s terms for App Store distribution, Apple’s terms control to the extent required for App Store compliance.

11. Changes and Updates

The developer may update the App and these Terms from time to time. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms, unless applicable law requires additional consent.

12. Termination

Your license ends if you stop using the App or delete it. The developer may stop providing or updating the App at any time. Provisions that by nature should survive termination, including intellectual property and limitation of liability sections, will survive.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the developer’s place of establishment, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide otherwise.
